A Guide to Use the Three Sins of Motivation
Motivation is a tricky thing that can be broke very fast if you don't know the right ways to rise your spirits. Here are three ways to do it.
When you’ve given your very best to a project, and your effort keeps getting overlooked, some nasty feelings might arise. No one likes feeling belittled, especially when you’re sure you have worked extremely hard for something, those feelings alone can kill your motivation.
It is normal to feel angry, envious, or even prideful in these cases. These feelings tend to get the worst side of people and make you want to drop everything and walk away. However, we don’t handle our emotions like that here.
Now it’s time to take these emotions and turn them into motivation to achieve your goals. In this article, you are going to learn how to channel these three motivation sins and turn them into fuel for your ambitions.
Anger
Since we were kids, we’ve been taught to repress our anger. People tell us that it doesn’t make sense and is barbaric. However, there are no good or bad feelings, as we choose how we deal with them.
Anger represents our limits. It shows us what we’re willing to accept and what not. In the right amounts, we can use it to take over the world and achieve all of our goals.
Whenever you’re lacking motivation, just imagine how you would feel if someone told you that you couldn’t achieve your goals. You would probably get angry, right? This is the perfect moment to use it as fuel and work towards that goal.
Envy
We all have felt envy every once in a while. If you think you haven’t, just think about a person you hate obtaining the thing you want the most in this world. That could be a job, a partner, a scholarship, or any other big or small thing.
However, don’t let yourself feel bad about that. If they could achieve that, it only means you can do it too. You could even do it better if you figure out a way to improve their formula.
Sometimes, a little bit of jealousy is that last push you need to boost yourself towards success.
Pride
What is something that all successful people have in common? They’re all extremely stubborn people who focus on their goals and don’t let themselves lose their drive.
If you find yourself not being able to have this level of stubbornness, think about something that makes you proud of yourself. It could be having perfect grades at university or anything similar. If that’s the case, you’re not going to let yourself miss an assignment because it would hurt your ego and pride.
Take that feeling and use it in the thing you need to focus on. Remember, don’t let anyone steal it from you.
Bottom Line
Sometimes, sinning isn’t that bad after all, and even if it was, you could turn it around as long as it benefits you. Don’t be scared to let out the beast that’s hidden inside of you. It could have better results than you could have ever imagined.
Build the most successful life of all! If you can dream it, you can achieve it.
